In attempt to accomplish something -- you can't do a whole lot in a neck brace -- I picked up this Zick Zack scarf that's been languishing for a few years. I'm using left-over yarns from other projects, and it's been fun deciding when to change colors.
I love the way it is coming out, but I will not make another one. It's a one-row repeat that requires counting, so it is tedious. I think I'm almost done -- I'll have to try it on when I take off my neck brace to wash today -- and then I can move onto something new.

Lovely! I started one too and abandoned it because I found it a slog but I did think it was really pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat is simply lovely. I've been intrigued by this pattern, but I'm thankful you mentioned how tedious it is. I don't think I would deal very well with tedious just now. LOL
ReplyDeleteA striking scarf! The different colored yarns are wonderful together.
ReplyDeletethe colors are beautiful! I couldn't imagine wearing a neck brace-everything I do I need to look doWn to do it!
ReplyDeleteI love the Zick-Zack scarf. I knit one myself about 5 years ago. It is an amazingly simple pattern . . . that is amazingly tedious to knit. Because all that counting. And all the ways one can forget to count. I hope your neck brace is doing its job and helping you heal as quickly as possible. XO
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely!
ReplyDeleteoh! I love the way it is coming out as well, what a satisfying knit!
ReplyDeleteI have made two of them and while they are gorgeous they are a lot of work. Hope your neck is feeling better, so sorry for all the mess the accident has caused.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty scarf and it's always fun to use up scraps.
