Tiny Needle Tuesday

I've made quite a bit of progress on my embroidery but...

... the remaining lines disappeared! I'm not sure if they were supposed to disappear or if I didn't iron them on correctly. I'll have draw them in and hope for the best!

I had a full day of work today. For special ed in my district, summer is over. We have to do a mountain of paperwork to comply with federal law. I just want to say: Betsy DeVos could have relaxed the paperwork requirements. Instead, she added to them.

The next thing I need to do is set up a functional workspace. First, I have to get rid of this crap:

That is my son's equipment from his days as the lead guitarist for a death metal group called An End to Flesh. He found the name in the Torah. Not quite what I was hoping for when I sent him to Hebrew School. They were moderately successful; even toured both coasts. Still, I think that veterinary medicine is a better career.

  1. Oh my golly, you gave me such a laugh about Hebrew School.

My son said he took Greek and Hebrew so he could curse classier!!! ROFL I "think" he was kidding.

  2. I'm glad that was just a faze-being a vet sounds more stable for all of you! The stitching is very, very pretty! Nice work-even working blind from now on!

  3. Fantastic, love the comment about your son! I have just packed all of my school equipment away, we are promised a return to school in September. I'm sorry about the paperwork.

  4. LOL about Hebrew School! That room looks like the room I'm using as my at home office. It is filled with "stuff." (That happens when you live with a pack rat.) Your stitching is so pretty.

  5. I've got a room that looks just like that. It's taken me years to rid myself of all the stuff the kids left behind.
Your embroidery is really lovely. Odd about the lines. I was just over the moon to discover some heat erasable fabric pens that I have had for years actually do work. No more messy chalk for me. Araignee

  6. With your artistic skills, You won’t have any trouble filling in the missing lines. Your embroidery is lovely.

  7. we have amp equipment from when our son was in a band....They called themselves JAMM from all of their initials! Lovely stitchery and I agree veterinarian is much better, my son is a professor of statistics, also good.

  10. I am so sorry you are starting with school paperwork already. Betsy de Vos is a nightmare. Stay safe.

  11. Betsy Devos has never been a teacher and it shows! Sorry you have more paperwork but glad you're going to be online. That seems to me to be the only alternative that is safe. Online is difficult but it's better than getting COVID! Looks like you've been working on lots of nice projects! The sweater is going to be beautiful. Gosh, I remember when you were planning to come to WA and we were never able to connect. We've not been back to WI for a long time sadly. Take care. Have a good weekend, too. BTW I had that same Aug 5th crazy post on my blog, too.

  12. YOUR EMBROIDERY IS SO SO BEAUTIFUL . I love it Deb. If COVID ever gets better numbers goign I'd love to meet you

  13. Lovely embroidery! Congratulations on your son's education as a Vet.
