I've been working on this Frida cross stitch in little bits as cross stitch irritates my injured wrist. It's been a fun project, and not too hard.
After a serious rain storm on Monday, we are having a hot and humid week. I'm OK with it so far, even though we don't have AC. It does mean I need to get out early for a bike workout. I took advantage of the weather to do some sun-dying this afternoon.
And Kola naps in some pretty interesting positions when she's hot.
I love summer!

Frida is amazing!!! The detail in it is just lovely. That looks like such a fun project.
ReplyDeleteNo AC? Is that even possible? It was so hot and humid here that I couldn't even make bath bombs for the Grands this afternoon. Even with the AC and two de-humidifiers running I still couldn't get it below 70% humidity and I've got the headache to prove it. araignee
I can not imagine living without A/C. Even when we lived in PA I insisted on a home with central air. It only got used for about 2 weeks a year, but still......it was worth it.
ReplyDeleteYour Xstitch is so sweet. But Kola is the sweetest.
Your cross-stitch project is fun - a sketch in thread. Humidity always zaps my energy. What do you make with the sun-dyed pieces?
ReplyDeleteCute cross stitch!
ReplyDeleteRupert lays in the same position as Kola sometimes.
I'm curious about the sun dying too. How do you do it? And what do you make? Love your cross stitch piece - very pretty and detailed. Kola is a beauty. Tyg often sleeps with one leg stretched out.
ReplyDeletelove the cross stitch design immensely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work my friend. It is hot and humid here as usual. Move to Florida and you will enjoy intense heat and humidity almost year round!
ReplyDeleteI stick out a foot when I am too hot sleeping-it looks to me that is what she is doing! lol I like the sun dyeing-very clever!
