Greetings from Minnesota

Keith and I love it Up North. Usually that means we are headed for northern Wisconsin. But this week, we are driving REALLY far to Grand Marais, Minnesota, on the shore of Lake Superior.
We broke up the drive with a few stops, like this one at Gooseberry Falls...
And at the Temperance River. I do love a Rocky Coast.
At long last, we made it to Spirit Haven, a charming cabin, right on the lake.
I love hearing the waves crash against the rocks. It's the best kind of lullaby.

  2. Oh! I love Grand Marais!! We camped there a month ago. We had a great meal at the Gun Flint Tavern. There is an awesome deli next door to the Angry Trout. Great chowder. Oops, this is a knitting blog, not a food blog. Oh well, enjoy. Nothing better than sleeping to the sound of Lake Superior.

  7. I love it up there! My friend's family has a beautiful arts and crafts-inspired cabin near Tofte right on Lake Superior, and that's absolutely where I sleep the best. Total lullaby. Enjoy my home state!
