I needed a quiet weekend. It was that kind of week. Other than fish fry with my parents and a breakfast with Keith's family, we hung out.
I had a little writing retreat at a local coffee shop. It was delicious! And reasonably productive.
I did some work for school, too. Sometimes you just have to do that.
I read. I knit. And I did some stitching, too.
Sometimes you just need a quiet weekend.
I hope you had whatever kind of weekend you needed!

Mmmmm.....cookies. Your stitching is looking great. You've come a long way!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a good weekend for me, too. I took an 80 year young friend out for brunch on her birthday and we had a happy celebration :) I have scrolled back and enjoyed so many of your posts...your stitching, and artwork, and I added your blog to my blogroll along with your art group blog which I enjoyed viewing as well. My blogroll seems very persnickety and very selfish about keeping me up to date with what I want to read but when I added Caffeine Girl [again, I think] it put you in the number one spot so I am hopeful I will visit with you more often, Deborah :) Wishing you a happy week! xx
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely. Lots of gardening around here this past weekend. And knitting. Duh. Xoxo zz
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a very nice weekend. Your coffee and cookie look really good! I hope you have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI had another slow weekend too! Love your embroidery piece!
ReplyDeleteSounds like just what you needed, work can really take up so much space in your brain, you need some hours just to be on the weekend, to read, knit, garden, take a nap. My weekend was lovely and I can hardly believe it is Monday already!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
That quiet weekend sounds divine. So does a fish fry. I'm kind of envious of all that you did and didn't do this weekend. It's definitely something I aspire to. Here is to more quiet/productive weekends for us all. xo
ReplyDeleteCoffee shops are the best for that - a good excuse to get away and still be productive. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHurrah for quiet weekends and the chance to regroup! Love that cross stitch piece!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a quiet day or weekend, it helps to rejuvenate and we really need it now and then. I love your cross stitch!
