Finally Some FOs...and a Start

I started out 2018's Secret Sock Society run by the talented Helen Stewart with great enthusiasm, but I've gotten distracted by embroidery and quilting. Still, I completed a second pair of the Winter Rose socks. 

This pair is gray and is for me. This is a great pattern than I highly recommend. It does require you to knit 3 stitches together occasionally, but you get used to it.

 Don't faint from surprise, but I have a second FO. This is a Sockhead Slouch Hat. 

 It takes some time because it's knit in fingering weight, but it is perfect for a gorgeous gradient skein. I used yarn from Knit Circus. Truly perfect mindless knitting!

As for my start, I have to thank Kathy B! I don't know why it didn't occur to me sooner that my father needs a Twiddle Muff. 
He does indeed have restless hands, so I'm hoping this will keep him happy once I add some texture, bobbles, and i-cords.

 If he likes it, I may knit up a few more for other residents in the Memory Unit.

    Ahhhh....the twiddle mitt. Daddio loved his. I've still got it tucked away with his quilts. Your other knits are lovely. Those socks are a masterpiece and I do so love gray.

    Your twiddle mitt looks great...as do your socks (love that pattern) and the hat. The hat is especially so cheerful and fun. Nice job on all three!!

    Yay for your FO's. Both are lovely, I too have got distracted from the sock society, but I will get back to it! Must knit my grandmother a twiddle muff too.

    I love your projects. So fun and pretty. I have to say, I love the designs of sock yarn hats, but for some reason, I'm worried about how tedious it will be since, I find hats don't go that fast for me in worsted?!?

    I have no understanding why. I'm sure it's all in the brain.

    Your twiddle muff is already looking great. I know your father will enjoy it.

    Nice work on those finishes. We flew into Milwaukee en route to our daughters recently and spent most of our time with her in Mundelein, IL, but we did get up to Neenah to see my high school friend and a sorority sister in Cedar Grove.
