Starts


At long last, spring has arrived here. After all, it's only late April! I was able to take a spin on my favorite vehicle this weekend:

 I have to say that it was a bit rough and I need to build up some strength -- but it felt good to be out riding in the sunshine.

 I've gotten a good start on the second pattern in the Secret Sock Society run by Helen Stewart. Magnolia is a beautiful pattern:
Once again, I'm using a yarn from Great Lakes Tweed and I love it. However, it's a little busy for such a detailed pattern:
Even so, it's very pretty and I'm going to keep going on this pair. I can always knit a second pair in a different yarn!

 I hope you have a wonderful week. Mine is starting out with jury duty!

    I love your bike. I wish I had gone with that style instead of the hybrid I have. Hope you have a lot more good riding days!!!

    I think your sock will be great in that color when it is on your leg and stretched out a bit.

    Love the yarn and the stitch pattern. Hmm, I need to try riding my bike again. I hope my new new knee works better than the old one.

    I hope you can knit on that lovely sock during jury duty; the last time I was scheduled, they confiscated my needles and told me they were dangerous weapons that a prisoner could grab!

    I hope you can knit during duty too. You would be a fair and wonderful juror.
    I am so happy you got out on your bike. Fireman got out SUnday with a friend and it made him very happy!

    Hurrah for spring! It landed here, too, finally. Take a good book with you for the waiting that goes with jury duty; knitting needles aren't allowed here anyhow. Enjoy the sunshine!

    yay for bike riding season! My husband loves to ride bikes and luckily he has a friend who likes to ride as well so I do not have to ride :) :) I prefer the gym.
