How do I accumulate so much stuff? Especially yarn. I swear the stuff reproduces in the Rubbermaid bins. This weekend I decided to get serious about decluttering my stuff -- starting with the yarn. And it wasn't pretty:
I didn't cull as much as I should have, but I did fill one bin with yarn to sell at a future yard sale, and another with yarn I'm going to use with my students. At least I've begun!
The first day back at school was a good one. Go figure. I'm hoping the rest of the year will be much smoother and more enjoyable!

Stash Honesty. I don't know if I'm personally ready for that. I feel like I'm still in the denial stage, ha! However I applaud your efforts and think you are starting off the year with a good path. I'm glad re-entry was a positive experience. I am wishing a smooth and happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThat looks GREAT To me!!!!! You have a happy yarny smile too!
ReplyDeleteGlad the first day of school went well. Only five more months to go!
That's a very tamable stash you have there. I wish I could have you over to see mine. It's downright scary.
ReplyDeleteYay for the downhill slide until the end of the school year. It always went fast for me-except March. I always hated March.
I have a bin system that is exactly the same. One(Ok two) for the good stuff, one for crappy/craft stuff and then a couple misc. It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't received a 2 LARGE box donation of quality yarn last year.
ReplyDeleteIt can be funny and a bit scary going through one's stash. I've been working on mine for a couple of years now and it's still bigger than I would like. Good luck with yours. You already seem to be off to a good start!
ReplyDeleteReorganizing is so wonderful..when it s done. GOOD JOB!
ReplyDeleteYou are setting a great example for the rest of us! Nice work. Hope the rest of your school year is terrific!
ReplyDeleteLet me know when you are selling the yarn and I will stop by! Good job and cleaning out your stuff for 2016!
ReplyDeleteOops. That's rough. Letting go of yarn is hard. Xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life
ReplyDeleteI did that last year and it was eye opening. I donated a lot of it, gave some away and used a ton of it! Good luck with the reorganizing.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
