Mindless Knitting Is Mindful

This is what I've been working on this week:

Simple washcloths.  Totally mindless and relaxing. I've been working from 7 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. and then going to bed with Netflix and knitting as soon as I get home. These cloths are about all I'm able to handle after such a long day.

Am I wimp? Are most people working 10 or 11 hours per day?

  1. No, I'm exhausted tonight too! I have all new classes so that's extra for a week or two until we all settle in. I even skipped my knit night because I just wanted to get in my pjs and relax on my couch!

  4. It depends on your job and stress levels. At least you are able to end the day on a peaceful note.

  6. You're not a wimp ... my choices are 8 or 16 hours if I get forced (911 dispatcher has to be staffed 24x7) ... however, some days, depending on what's going on, after just 8 hours my brain can't handle anything but simple knitting!

  7. Lovely cloths!

Boy, do I remember those looong days spent at school. Thankfully, I'm retired now and can knit and craft to my heart's content.
